About The Position

Mickey Truck Bodies is seeking a motivated Wash Bay Technician who will be responsible for cleaning, washing, and preparing truck bodies for the prepping and painting stages of production. This position ensures completed units meet company cleanliness and presentation standards while maintaining a safe and organized wash bay area. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing a clean, professional finished product. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous vehicle washing, detailing, or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to work in various welding positions for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required for welding and inspection.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly
  • Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and kneel
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

  • Wash and clean truck bodies, trailers, and components using pressure washers and approved cleaning agents.
  • Remove grease, dirt, metal debris, and manufacturing residue from finished units.
  • Inspect units after cleaning to ensure they meet company cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized wash bay area, including tools and equipment.
  • Safely operate pressure washers and other wash bay equipment.
  • Move units in and out of the wash bay area as needed.
  • Properly store and handle cleaning chemicals and supplies.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required PPE.
  • Assist other departments with general shop duties when needed.
