About The Position

The Wastewater System Maintenance and Inventory Coordinator develops, manages, and coordinates preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules and job plans to ensure optimal operation of wastewater treatment facilities; implement inventory management, monitor critical assets, and analyze equipment failure trends to improve performance and reliability; collaborate with operators, technicians, engineers, procurement, and vendors to streamline workflows, reduce downtime, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • Three years of plan maintenance experience in wastewater, water, or an industrial seeing
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D supplemented by specialized training in the areas of mechanical equipment maintenance and repair or related field.
  • Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted

Responsibilities

  • Develop, manage, and maintain preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance schedules for plant and lift station systems and facilities; schedule maintenance to minimize impact on plant performance.
  • Coordinate maintenance programs; perform analysis through collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors; utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders, inspections, equipment history, and spare parts; onboard and decommission assets while overseeing related workflows.
  • Create job plans that define labor, tools, materials, and equipment requirements, with strict adherence to safety and environmental standards; maintain accurate records for regulatory compliance and audits.
  • Implement an inventory management program; order and manage spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring optimal inventory.
  • Monitor the condition of critical assets and recommend preventative maintenance strategies, upgrades or replacements to optimize reliability.
  • Analyze equipment failure trends and assist in root cause analysis to improve asset performance and reliability.
  • Assist in budget development and monitor maintenance-related expenditures; analyze cost trends, prepare recommendations on division budget allocations, and advise management on resource planning.
  • Attend and participate in professional group meetings; stay abreast on emerging trends, best practices and innovations in wastewater maintenance.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
