About The Position
We are seeking a reliable Wastewater Technician / Logistics Coordinator to support wastewater treatment operations and material handling within an industrial facility. This role combines wastewater process support with logistics coordination and forklift operation to move chemicals, equipment, and waste containers safely throughout the facility.
Requirements
- Forklift operating experience (required)
- Ability to lift and move heavy containers, materials, and equipment
- Strong attention to safety and environmental compliance
- Good communication and organizational skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice To Haves
- Basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes or industrial operations preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment systems and equipment
- Monitor treatment processes and report operational issues to supervisors
- Handle wastewater sludge, treatment byproducts, and related materials
- Coordinate movement of wastewater containers, sludge bins, and treatment materials
- Assist with scheduling transportation and disposal of wastewater byproducts
- Track shipments and maintain records of waste manifests and deliveries
- Operate forklifts to safely move wastewater containers, treatment chemicals, pallets, and equipment throughout the facility
- Load and unload trucks carrying treatment supplies and waste materials
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
- Maintain documentation related to wastewater shipments, chemical inventory, and disposal records
- Ensure all operations comply with environmental regulations and company policies
- Assist with regulatory inspections and reporting requirements
- Monitor inventory levels of treatment chemicals, supplies, and containers
- Coordinate with vendors for deliveries and supply management
- Ensure proper storage and handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and environmental protection guidelines
- Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Assist with spill prevention and emergency response procedures
