Are you passionate about water stewardship? Do you want to learn how environmental permitting works in Texas? Do you enjoy working with citizen scientists and environmental education? This internship position will equip you with the knowledge and understanding to help catapult your career in the environmental field. This position provides an outstanding opportunity to learn about the Texas Colorado River waterways and the crucial importance they are to the Central Texas region. About Us: The Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) has been serving Texans since 1934, when the state Legislature tasked us with improving life across the region. Back then, we built the chain of dams that tamed the unpredictable lower Colorado River and brought electricity to rural Central Texas for the very first time. Fast forward to today, and that mission still fuels everything we do. For nearly a century, we’ve been finding new ways to enhance the lives of the Texans we serve. Now we’re looking for the next generation of innovators, problem-solvers, and changemakers to help us write our next chapter. Ready to make your impact? Apply now and start your journey with the Lower Colorado River Authority
