About The Position

CAPTRUST is offering a paid internship in our Raleigh, NC office that will provide exposure to the inner workings of a wealth management firm. This position will be trained in different aspects of financial planning and wealth management. Hands-on learning starts day one in this fast-paced environment. The intern will also be trained in multiple software used throughout the firm. This role will be supervised by a Certified Financial Planner. This will be a full-time position between June and August with the ability to accommodate a class workload. Completion of an internship may lead to, but does not guarantee, future full-time employment. Requirements

  • Actively pursuing undergraduate/graduate degree from an accredited institution, college, or university
  • Any school of business majors (Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred)
  • Significant interest in the workings of financial planning and wealth management and intend to pursue the CFP designation upon graduation

Responsibilities

  • Financial Analysis & Research
  • Support advisor relationships
  • Prepare summaries and visualizations for advisor review
  • Client Service Support
  • Help maintain and update client files, CRM systems, and internal databases
  • Draft client communications, meeting notes, and follow up summaries
  • Participate in internal case meetings and strategy sessions (as appropriate)
  • Operational & Administrative
  • Support day to day practice operations, scheduling, and document management
  • Assist with compliance tasks and recordkeeping
  • Help prepare presentations, client decks, and education materials
  • Special Projects
  • Assist with special projects for team
