About The Position

We’re looking for a hybrid Web Designer / Developer with strong skills in Figma, WordPress (Gutenberg), and modern front‑end development. This role owns both the UX/UI design and the implementation of reusable, scalable components that support a high‑performing marketing website. You’ll shape our design system, build the WordPress experience, and collaborate across teams to deliver accessible, fast, brand-aligned digital experiences. Development (WordPress) Build a reusable block/component library in WordPress Gutenberg, aligned with the Figma design system. Implement block patterns, templates, and style variants to support rapid page creation. Develop clean, maintainable PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for themes/child themes. Ensure WCAG-compliant accessibility including semantic structure, keyboard navigation, and appropriate ARIA usage. Optimize for Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) including images, fonts, and front-end payload. Apply SEO best practices (metadata, schema, sitemaps, canonicalization) and collaborate on technical SEO. Implement analytics hooks (GA4/GTM) for core interactions and support A/B test integrations. Document the WordPress component library (usage guidelines, examples, accessibility notes). Responsibilities Design page layouts, UI components, and responsive patterns optimized for marketing use cases. Produce developer-ready assets and conduct structured handoff between design → build. Ensure consistency across Figma and WordPress through shared components and documentation. Collaborate on UX audits and propose improvements via wireframes, prototypes, and interaction patterns. Collaboration & Delivery Partner with content, demand-gen, and engineering/IT teams to align on requirements and deployment timelines. Build an intuitive, guardrail-driven editor experience for non-technical CMS users. Maintain and prioritize a backlog of enhancements based on analytics, heatmaps, and user feedback. Support cross-functional planning and contribute to continuous iterations of the website. Deliverables A reusable, brand-aligned Gutenberg component library. Page templates and layouts supporting key marketing flows. Figma design system artifacts (tokens, components, documentation). Documentation for editors and developers. A production-ready WordPress implementation meeting performance, accessibility, and SEO standards.

Requirements

  • Strong marketing website UX expertise: hierarchy, storytelling, conversion patterns, CTAs, forms, trust indicators.
  • Advanced Figma skills (components, variants, auto‑layout, prototyping, design systems).
  • Strong WordPress experience, including Gutenberg/block editor and custom theme development.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS (responsive), and JavaScript.
  • Working knowledge of PHP and WordPress templating.
  • Experience with reusable component systems (design + implementation).
  • Strong understanding of accessibility and performance optimization.
  • Portfolio showing both digital design and shipped front-end execution.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building custom Gutenberg blocks (React-based).
  • Familiarity with ACF, custom post types, and WordPress build tooling.
  • Experience with Tailwind, Sass, or component-driven CSS approaches.
  • Knowledge of Webpack/Vite, linting, CI/CD pipelines, and modern dev tooling.
  • Experience with GA4, GTM, Optimizely/VWO, or other analytics/experimentation tools.
  • Exposure to headless WordPress or modern WP frameworks (optional).
