About The Position

ABS Global, a Genus PLC Company, has an exciting opportunity for a Weekend Production Supervisor to lead and develop a high-performing team in our laboratory operations. As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing laboratory production, ensuring quality standards, and fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork. Leading a team of technicians and a shift lead, you will play a critical role in achieving production goals while developing your team members and continuously improving processes. Will consider right candidate for the weekend nights shift 3-day schedule, Fri-Sat-Sun 12 hour shift, 36 hours. Hours 5:00 pm to 5:30 am, eligible for $8,000 annual shift differential. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Prior experience working within a production laboratory setting.
  • Prior experience supervising and managing teams.
  • Ability to lift/transfer 46 lbs. frequently.
  • Strong attention to detail and focus on maintaining the highest level of quality at all times.
  • Ability to maintain professional verbal and written communications with co-workers, internal and external customers, and vendors at all times.
  • Skilled at conflict resolution.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field, preferred, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Production Technicians, providing coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  • Oversee daily lab operations, ensuring production goals are met or exceeded while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
  • Manage shift scheduling, production planning, and workflow to optimize efficiency.
  • Conduct training and onboarding for new team members, ensuring adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and compliance with documentation requirements.
  • Own and drive key operational metrics related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) for your shift.
  • Participate in and lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct timely and meaningful performance evaluations while proactively addressing employee relations matters, including coaching and performance management.
  • Act as a subject matter expert within the team, providing technical guidance and support where needed.
  • Promote a strong safety culture, identifying and mitigating workplace hazards and ensuring all safety policies and procedures are followed.
  • Collaborate with other shifts and departments to drive seamless operations and process improvements.
  • Perform other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
