About The Position

This position ensures accurate weights of incoming/outgoing deliveries in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills and must be a team player.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment is a must.
  • Great attitude, excellent punctuality and attendance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel & etc.) and 10 key
  • Oral and written communications
  • Strong commitment to quality and excellent time and self-management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to write by hand, type, and perform other repetitive motions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous weighmaster experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Weigh and maintain accurate and proper completion of all records.
  • Secure and maintain a clean scale area to ensure efficient operation.
  • Conduct routine operational and maintenance checks to ensure vehicular scales function adequately
  • Demonstrate compliance with Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) to document previous load information from all carriers.
  • Collect samples for quality analysis of bulk deliveries into the mill/plant.
  • Work with mixer operator to facilitate manufacturing of loads.
  • Follow procedures outlined within the California Department of Food and Agriculture
  • Prepare and maintain any spreadsheets as needed
  • Direct customers to appropriate locations for unloading/loading purposes
  • Working with the guard, manage the flow of traffic
  • Answer phones and direct calls as required
  • Perform general housekeeping when needed to ensure the cleaning of the Scalehouse is being performed properly.
  • Sort and file shipping/receiving documents
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintaining them over time.
  • Analyze information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize organize, and accomplish your work.
  • Work any shift and weekends when needed.
