About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a full‑time Weight Management Dietitian to join the Sinai Chicago Healthcare System in Chicago, IL. In this engaging role, you’ll collaborate closely with a talented team of dietitians across the system. Your time will be split between supporting the Bariatric Outpatient Clinic—focusing on patients undergoing surgical weight‑management—and the Diabetes and Weight Wellness Clinic, where you’ll guide patients through medical weight‑management programs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact across two highly specialized and rewarding areas of care. Requirements

  • Registered Dietitian licensed in Illinois (or able to obtain a license)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and interdisciplinary team members
  • Ability to effectively engage, motivate, and influence others regarding their nutrition
  • Commitment to continued education in the nutrition field and implementation of new and innovative ideas
  • Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.
  • In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
  • Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
  • In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
  • Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)
  • For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24: Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-centered care utilizing the nutrition care process and medical nutrition therapy
  • Complete comprehensive nutrition assessments
  • Manage patients undergoing bariatric surgery
  • Manage patients with diabetes
  • Manage patients participating in our Weight Wellness Clinic
  • Provide individualized education to clients through evidence-based nutrition care
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to recommend, implement, and monitor nutrition interventions
  • Participate in quality improvement projects and regulatory compliance within the department
