Responsibilities: Adhering to all safety policies MIG and dual shield welding Welding from a variety of positions, e.g. flat, vertical, and overhead Visually inspecting quality of work Grinding out inferior quality welds and reworking as needed Reading and interpreting prints, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials Performing material handling operations as needed (training available) Operating a hand torch and hand plasma torch Cross-training to assist in other departments as needed Clocking to jobs using a barcode scanning system Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the departmentRequirements: High School Diploma OR GED preferred but not required Must have longevity Must not have any attendance issues at previous jobs Must have own welding gear and some tools Requirements of the Role: Looking for candidates who have skilled welding experience, not production welding Print reading and fitting experience Flat MIG wire welding experience Out-of-position dual shield welding experience Openness to travel (1 week per quarter or less) for onsite production installation and warranty work Ability to drive for travel requirements Must be able to lift 50lbs Other duties as assigned o Associates may be cross trained in all areas of the facility Potential hazard exposures may include: cuts and abrasions from using hand tools, cuts from metals, heavy lifting, fumes and/or airborne particles, pinch points near machinery, extreme temperatures, slip and fall hazards.
