About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The successful candidate will support heavy civil construction projects, as well as repairing company owned equipment. This role may involve structural welding, fabrication, and field installation of steel components while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in welding preferred
3+ years of experience as a Welder/Fabricator in heavy civil, structural, or industrial construction
Proficiency in SMAW (stick) and FCAW welding (AWS standards preferred)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings
Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection practices
Must furnish all basic tools for job.
Experience working in outdoor and physically demanding environments
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to pass weld tests and job-site safety requirements

Nice To Haves

Rigging and signaling experience
Shop and field welding experience
Understanding of how to use a plasma table/cutter and fabrication tools (pipe bender/pipe notch equipment/grinders, and alike)

Responsibilities

Perform welding (stick, MIG, flux-core, TIG as required) as needed
Fabricate steel components from shop and field personnel shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
Cut, fit, tack, and weld materials using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
Install fabricated components in the field, including alignment and fit-up
Inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with project requirements
Operate equipment such as grinders, torches, plasma cutters, forklifts, and cranes (as certified)
Work safely around heavy equipment, excavation, and active construction zones
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organized work area
Follow all OSHA, company, and project-specific safety procedures
Collaborate with foremen, engineers, and other trades to meet project schedules
Other duties as assigned
