Work Description:

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator.
  • Technical training or certification in Welding from a recognized institution.
  • Proficient in TIG, stick, and overhead welding. MIG welding a plus.
  • Experience with robotic welding and computer-programmed machinery.
  • Ability to read blueprints and recognize welding symbols and specifications.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use tools and machinery used in the welding trade.
  • Physical ability to handle heavy equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with team members and independently.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and a clean work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand.
  • Perform TIG and stick welding according to project needs.
  • Set-Up, Operate, and Maintain metal laser cutter.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and equipment through the use of welders, cutters, shapers, and measuring tools.
  • Produce metal products according to customer or employer specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment.
  • Understand and implement personal and company safety measures by using specialized equipment, protective shields, protective clothing, and hand tools.
  • Inspect and test welds and equipment for durability and specifications.
  • Monitor work environment for hazards and maintain healthy ventilation levels to avoid particle or gas inhalation.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Complete quality control forms and other paperwork related to the project.
  • Work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
