About The Position

Great Plains currently has an opening for a 2nd Shift Welder
at the Salina Campus.

This position is Monday through Thursday 4:30 pm to 3:00 am

Requirements

• Understand team concept and be a strong team player
• High standard for quality and detail
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Willingness to work overtime
• Working knowledge of MIG welding operations
• Open to Lean Manufacturing and implementation of change

Responsibilities

• Able to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical or overhead positions
• Operation of various welding robots
• Able to lift heavy parts throughout the shift
• Clean, repair and examine welds as needed
• Conduct quality checks throughout the shift
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment
