About The Position

The Wellness Specialist will assume duties related to community and employee health and wellness. This includes, but is not limited to, developing SMART goals with patients, coordinating and directing individuals to wellness resources, and serving as a primary point of contact for individuals enrolled in UHS Wellness programming. The Wellness Specialist will meet with both UHS employees and UHS patients to review health and wellness screenings and create a basic wellness plan based on UHS System Wellness programming available at that time in conjunction with established best practices. The Wellness Specialist will help to leverage organizational incentives, tools, and events to get the maximum benefit from this program. This position will provide assistance and support to the Medical Command Center on an as needed basis. Occasional evening and/or weekend work hours may be required based on program events.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in health, wellness, or related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in health promotion, wellness, or a related field.
  • Certification in CPR and First Aid within 3 months of hire
  • Health Coach Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Personal Training Certification within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in health, wellness, or related field
  • Three to five (3-5) years of experience in health promotion, wellness, or a related field.
