About The Position

UWM's 12-week internship program offers an immersive experience with over 200 interns, job shadowing, access to senior leaders, and extensive networking opportunities. Experience our one-of-a-kind workplace that thrives on collaboration, teamwork, and innovation. This internship is designed to give you a running start, not one that has you running errands. Our Wellness Team focuses on the health and well-being of Team Members through activities that improve morale, productivity and making UWM a great place to work. This team supports the physical and health initiaves at UWM.

Requirements

Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2026 or 2027 (current junior/senior status)
The ability to work Monday thru Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from May 18th - August 7th
Pursuing a degree in Sport Management, Sports Communication, Exercise Science, or other relevant majors.
An openness to learning, willingness to be coached, and ability to be flexible in our every-changing industry
Ability to thrive in a team environment

Responsibilities

Take part in wellness events and suggest new ideas to keep our programs exciting
Work with team members on various wellness projects and events
Ensure fitness and recreation areas are safe and clean
Assist in keeping wellness and fitness schedules, records, and reports up to date
