The Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible for growing revenue through new wholesale account acquisition and following existing wholesale leads. This role focuses on regional chains, specialty retailers, buying groups, distributors, and other wholesale partners. This person will own the full sales cycle from prospecting through onboarding, line reviews, pricing negotiations, and ongoing account growth.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of experience in wholesale sales, B2B sales, or retail account management
  • Proven track record of opening and growing wholesale or brick-and-mortar accounts
  • Experience selling to retailers, distributors, or buying groups
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Comfortable managing pricing, margins, and volume targets
  • Highly organized and self-directed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in consumer electronics, home goods, outdoor, toys, or lifestyle categories
  • Existing relationships with regional or national retailers
  • Experience working with distributors or international wholesale partners

Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and onboard new wholesale and brick-and-mortar retail accounts
  • Lead product presentations, line reviews, and pricing discussions
  • Negotiate cost, margin, MOQs, freight terms, and payment terms
  • Drive volume growth while maintaining brand and pricing discipline
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned wholesale accounts
  • Build long-term relationships with buyers, category managers, and distributors
  • Coordinate internally with operations, logistics, marketing, and finance teams
  • Resolve account issues related to inventory, shipping, pricing, or compliance
  • Work closely with internal teams to position products correctly by channel
  • Provide market feedback on pricing, assortment, packaging, and competitive activity
  • Support new product launches into wholesale and retail channels
  • Help identify white space opportunities by category and channel
  • Attend relevant trade shows, buyer meetings, and industry events
  • Travel as needed to support key accounts and business development
