About The Position

The Wind Engineering PMO Leader is responsible to lead defining the vision for Program Management processes and tools across Engineering. The primary focus will be to improve the way Wind Engineering executes programs, which includes scheduling tools and process and the standard work that governs, with the main outcome being improvement in on-time delivery of NPI programs. The scope of the PMO includes the implementation of the future Program Management scheduling tool and process, program Scheduling support and Program operations. This role involves close collaboration with Systems, Sub-system Engineering teams and Product Management to ensure programs are set up for success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University, preferably in a technical or business degree.
  • 5+ years experience in project management, operations and/or related
  • Wind Power industry experience

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or in process of being certified
  • Knowledgeable of engineering, product management, and supply chain processes
  • Strong organizational/ project execution skills and prior success in working with or leading cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated leadership, team building, and communication skills, ability to coach and teach others
  • Appropriate experience driving process improvement, preferably within an Engineering or Projects organization
  • Proven to be effective driving outcomes in a large, globally matrixed organization
  • Comfortable with conflict but leads as a collaborator, facilitator and strong partner
  • Critical, systems thinker with the ability to bring others along, even those with conflicting priorities
  • Strong analytical skills; data-driven but decisive despite ambiguity Strategic thinking and problem solving
  • Knowledge of project tracking tools, processes, and practices
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interface with leadership with confidence and clarity
  • Strong interpersonal and leaderships skills to gain acceptance and buy in from other matrix functions to accomplish improvement projects

Responsibilities

  • Implement transformative change in PM process and tools across engineering ensuring requirements are defined with requisite buy-in from stakeholders
  • Define the vision and maintain discipline to execute to plan
  • Lead resources to maintain accurate program schedules and drive productivity in scheduling activities
  • Establish Daily Management Lean practices to help improve program management
  • Ensure the successful monitoring and governance of the PMO’s strategy, responsibilities, and deliverables.
  • Establish frameworks and standards for Program Management
  • Define and embed project control and governance
