About The Position
To learn fundamentals of the process while assisting machine operators while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good oral /written communication skills
- Computing knowledge
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
Responsibilities
- Any supplemental responsibilities as determined by supervision.
- Assist adjoining line if necessary
- Maintain equipment, notifying supervisor or Senior Extrusion Technician / Lead of any maintenance issues requiring immediate attention
- Slab rolls, load scrap unwinder, and grind scrap.
- Quality testing / data entry
- Overtime as required
- Strive to achieve departmental production and quality objectives
- Comply with company recycling policy
- Comply with all Plant Safety and Product Safety requirements
