Winder/Roll-Line/Calendar Reel Operator
About The Position
Responsible for running mill production equipment, specifically in the machine/fiberline area.Monitor the process to produce a high-quality product.Following detailed written and verbal procedures; additionally, an ability to troubleshoot problems. Team-oriented environment rewarding flexibility and reliability. On-the-job training may involve physical, technical, and mechanical ability to perform the following duties: Climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.Monitoring, adjusting, and controlling operating equipment.Conducting tests and inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance. Attend PIT meetings, morning crew meetings, and other meetings as scheduled.This is a shift-based role that does have overtime requirements.
Requirements
- Previous mill experience is required for this position.
- Candidate must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment and have either a high school diploma or GED.
- Ability to work shift work, including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Ability to work safely and follow complex directions in oral, written and electronic formats.
- Ability to be successful in a team-based, high-performance work environment.
- Ability to work at heights, on ladders and in confined spaces.
- Ability to pass drug screens & a background check.
- Ability to use MS office, including email, word and excel.
- Ability to work well with teams, along with a strong desire for career advancement.
- Ability to learn through self-study.
