Peraton is seeking Wireless Network Administrators to support the Special Operations Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) – 3. These positions are located at SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill AFB, FL, as well as at TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad. This position is located at Fort Bragg, NC. Wireless Network Administrator Responsibilities: Wireless Network Administrators provide Tier 3 wireless network support in alignment with SIE OPORD. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with expertise in wired and wireless network technologies. Network Administrator - Wireless Manages and maintains the wireless network infrastructure. Manages user access to the wireless network, assigning permissions, and enforcing security policies. Ensures that the wireless network is secure, efficient, and available to users within the organization. Evaluates the performance of Media Access Control (MAC) and higher layers of various types of wireless networks. Evaluates the performance of IEEE 802.1x various types of LAN/WAN and wireless networks. Conducts and documents radio frequency (RF) coverage and site surveys. Documents network infrastructure and design. Administers the operation of all wireless network services according to Government policies and procedures. Coordinates and implements network software and hardware upgrades. Troubleshoots and resolves wireless performance, connectivity, and resolve any technical issues that arise. Administers wireless security, antivirus, spam control measures, implement security measures such as encryption, firewalls, and access control policies to protect the network from security threats. Administers the operation of all LAN/WAN-related network services according to Government policies and procedures. Resolves ticket request, works to resolve incidents, and escalates to engineering team when required. Troubleshoots and resolves LAN/WAN performance, connectivity, and related network problems. Researches, designs, and implements LAN/wireless networks, including the definition of applicable engineering specifications and resource requirements for network hardware and software. Uses a variety of tools to monitor and troubleshoot network. Creates monitoring reports and logs and ensures the functionality of links. Documents and maintains network topologies. Ensures wireless systems comply with USSOCOM Manuals 380-19 and 380-3 and NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Capability Packages. Resolves ticket request, works to resolve incidents, and escalates to engineering team when required. Manages systems using identity and access management (IAM), security information and event management (SIEM) systems (e.g., Splunk), endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and other tools used in support of zero trust by vendors such as Aruba, Palo Alto, Splunk, Cisco etc. This position will require up to 25% travel.
