Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in electrical wiring, panel building, or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Familiarity with hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and testing equipment (e.g., multimeters)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and work instructions

Responsibilities

  • Wiring & Assembly: Perform point-to-point wiring of control enclosures, panels, and backplanes according to schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Cable Routing & Termination: Route, cut, strip, crimp, and terminate wires and cables while ensuring proper labeling and identification.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and bills of materials to accurately complete assemblies.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect completed work to verify proper connections, wire routing, and compliance with quality and workmanship standards.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform continuity checks and basic functional testing; identify and correct wiring issues or discrepancies.
  • Material Handling: Gather required materials, components, and tools; ensure correct parts are used for each build.
  • Documentation: Complete production documentation, checklists, and quality records accurately and on time.
  • Safety & Housekeeping: Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
