About The Position

The WMS Process Analyst is part of a core team that is charged with implementing a warehouse management system across GM's CCA warehousing sites. We work multi-functionally across numerous work streams to capture requirements and design processes that will improve efficiency and support ambitious business targets. As Process Analysts, we coordinate problem and incident management as the application reaches the implementation phase. Post implementation, we own the identification and implementation of bold efficiency and cost reduction targets, with the support of the business.. The project will consist of numerous phases that include: Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor and Close. Each phase has major project landmarks that will be completed to ensure a successful deployment. Critical to the project is a successful UAT. This includes detailing requirements and executing test cases to ensure the product is operating as crafted.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in an engineering, supply chain management, manufacturing, technical discipline with equivalent experience/ full-time work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply chain business process, systems, and data base experience
  • 1-2+ years of WMS experience within a fulfillment or manufacturing organization preferred.
  • In-depth business knowledge of current lean processes and material handling.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, Azure Dev Ops, and Power BI.
  • Understanding of business issues and data challenges of spare parts warehousing and material handling business. This can be substituted with understanding or experience in dry goods warehousing process design experience.
  • Strong business acumen, and the ability to translate “data” to a “business story” and effectively communicate it to business stakeholders and partners.
  • Experience with business process models, business requirements/user stories (functional and non-functional).
  • Warehousing processes and tools.
  • Excellent written and documentation skills, as well as version management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to effectively communicate with others whose primary language is not English.
  • Ability to develop/create and deliver end user documentation and training.
  • Creative problem solver, flexible, proactive, and ability to work in fast paced, ever changing environment.
  • 20-30% travel may be required across the US

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of WMS experience within a fulfillment or manufacturing organization preferred.
  • Extensive and detailed documentation of Business process, training material experience.
  • Creation of work instructions, process standards and training material.
  • Analytical thought process.
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies.
  • ASRS (Automated Storage Retrieval System) Experience
  • SQL Experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborative project experience and supporting technical leadership for Warehouse Management Systems
  • In-depth business knowledge of GMS lean principles
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, and creativity.
  • Responsive and understanding of business issues and data challenges in Aftersales and IT Systems
  • Warehousing and distribution process knowledge
  • Good eye for business, and the ability to translate information to business documentation while optimally presenting it to customers, partners, and the executive team.
  • Work multi-functionally to implement system improvements, support testing and production support.
