The Wood Processing Technician is responsible for assisting with the processing, preparation, and distribution of wood materials for use across the state park system year-round. This position assists in ensuring that downed or felled trees are safely and efficiently processed into usable materials, primarily for campground firewood sales and visitor use, while maintaining compliance with environmental regulations, safety protocols, and operational efficiency standards. This position works under the direction of the Wood Processing Coordinator and assists with the transportation and delivery of materials, works closely with park staff to monitor supply needs, and ensures that all work areas, tools, and equipment are properly maintained.
