About you and this role Dow is seeking our next Work Activity Coordinator (WAC) to support Louisiana Operations in Plaquemine, LA. The WAC ensures work activities are carried out safely in an effective and efficient way. You will manage productivity of the team that performs the task. This role requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, and/or specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to perform a broad range of complex work assignments. You may act as a working team lead, providing subject matter guidance and coordinating work of others.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • 5 or more years of experience in an industrial maintenance or operations role required.
  • Must have valid, current US Driver's license.
  • Individual must be willing to take call-ins during the week and on some weekends.
  • Willing and able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed.
  • Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree and/or 3+ years of relevant Military training.
  • 5 or more years maintenance field planning or craft foreman experience.
  • Proficient in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews job packages and prepares to do the task.
  • Assists in allocation of resources for resource leveraging.
  • Reports the progress of the daily work to enable adjustments to the work schedule when needed.
  • Reviews work status with service providers and originators and adjusts schedule as required.
  • Reassigns person scheduled to perform work to the next job, in the event the equipment is not prepared for maintenance on originally assigned job.
  • Confirms that all scheduled job sequences, work and paperwork for the job have all been completed.
  • Closes work order.
  • Returns equipment to operations.
  • Performs the role of shift procedure use focal point for maintenance activity.
  • For Priority Work, serves as a planner and follows the planner responsibilities.
  • Coaches crafts persons when completed procedures, checklists, and equipment repair forms are not filled out correctly.
  • Conducts field audits to assure procedures are being used according to the local Maintenance Procedure Use Policy.
