The work order system is a critical resource in the Facilities Services Department (FSD). The Work Orders office processes work requests for maintenance activities from individuals all across campus; assists in evaluating the effectiveness of the maintenance activities; and supports operational technologies through collecting accurate data. Work request processing involves: Communicating with customers both orally and electronically via email; assessing work requests; assigning work orders to various maintenance work units; tracking maintenance activities and progress; inputting and tracking labor and costs. Additionally, this role supports field operations through onsite data entry, verification, and asset documentation.
