MDW Associates is currently seeking a Workflow Manager to support the Office of the Secretary of War Research & Engineering (OUSW(R&E)). Specifically, this position supports the Critical Technology (CT)Directorate leadership. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who has a demonstrated ability to work as an integrated member of a team to achieve mission objectives. The role is located in Arlington, Virginia. The Workflow Manager may perform a combination of some or all of the following job duties: Review reports and associated correspondence packages for completeness, structure, content, and format; ensure sufficiency of product (i.e., that the product is responsive to the originating request); review products for clarity and readability; maintain awareness of all tasks within the organization, proactively seek out the status of each task, and engage throughout organization to drive tasks to timely completion; analyze information from a variety of acquisition and program sources; draft, review, and edit documents and preparing reports. Monitor the Correspondence and Task Management System (CATMS) database to ensure all taskers are handled and triaged appropriately and in a timely manner Ensure that senior leadership decisions are clearly communicated via correspondence prepared for signature; determine the acceptability of documents based on composition, coordination, and logical analysis; monitor workload and precedence of tasks to direct prioritized changes to documents and routing based on rational well-founded priorities Evaluate, based on the knowledge of the R&E organization/assigned office, tasks for completion within defined suspense dates, proactively track those actions for completion, and follow up as needed with the assigned office to drive tasks toward completion Consistently meet deadlines, manage priorities, and handle sensitive information; interact with and manage a broad range of highly sensitive issues with the front offices of the Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments, Joint Staff, Defense Agencies, Government Accountability Office (GAO), Office of Inspector General (IG), Combatant Commands, US and foreign industry, Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and Congress. The Subcontractor shall draft documents for review by senior leadership; compose correspondence and memoranda requiring independent judgment as to content, ensure correspondence accuracy, format, spelling and grammar; assemble enclosures, attachments, and other reference documentation before submission of the correspondence package to senior level decision makers for concurrence, approval, and signature Route correspondence in accordance with approved distribution codes or other designated routing lists Develop and maintain policies and standards to ensure records management programs comply with all applicable federal laws and agency regulations Assist senior members of the staff overseeing all correspondence activities and statuses, including DoD directives and issuances pertinent to assigned office
