About The Position

Parents And Children Together is playing an active role in developing a deeper understanding of poverty to help build sustainable pathways out of poverty faced by our local residents and families. PACT’s poverty prevention approach uses the Bridges Out of Poverty framework to educate and engage with key community partners while building on our collective strengths and increasing our influence in addressing the root causes of poverty in Hawaii. Many of PACT’s poverty prevention efforts are intertwined with its Economic Opportunity Center initiatives that take a holistic approach to poverty alleviation. The Workforce Success Program Supervisor provides leadership, coordination, and hands-on service delivery for the workforce-focused programs that promotes economic stability, poverty prevention, and overall community well-being. This position balances program oversight with direct service responsibilities, delivering individualized employee support across partner employers and facilitation initiatives such as Bridges Overviews, Getting Ahead cohorts, and ALICE AUW programming. The Supervisor builds and sustains employer and community partnerships, ensures compliance with funding and reporting requirements, and contributes to program sustainability efforts The Workforce Success Program Supervisor is under the direct supervision of the Program Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Human Resources, Social Work, Public Health, Community/Organizational Development or related field, required.
  • One year experience in supervision and/or management.
  • Two (2) years’ experience in leadership or administrative capacity involving program planning, facilitation, community development, social services and/or economic development or equivalent required.
  • Possesses and maintains a valid driver’s license and daily access to an automobile.
  • Possesses and maintains proof of no-fault insurance.
  • Can obtain an acceptable State and FBI criminal background check upon hire and annually thereafter.
  • Can obtain an acceptable CWS background check. upon hire and annually thereafter.
  • Can obtain an acceptable National Sex Offender Registry Check upon hire and annually thereafter.

Responsibilities

  • Behaves in a manner that supports the agency’s mission and follows personnel policies and procedures.
  • Lead the planning, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the program objectives, including curriculum design, project coordination, marketing strategies, and related activities. Assesses program needs, recommends enhancements, and executes action plans aligned with organizational mission and community impact goals.
  • Actively identifies, cultivates, and sustains employer partnerships aligned with the program model. Maintains current knowledge of community resources through ongoing on-site engagement with agencies and partners and implements strategies to effectively promote resources and services within participating companies.
  • Serve as a working supervisor with an active direct service role. Regularly provides on-site support across partner employers on a consistent schedule, delivering individualized employee assistance. Facilitates Bridges Overviews, Getting Ahead cohorts, and ALICE AUW initiatives in conjunction with the Program Director; connects participants to community resources, assists with applications and documentation, and collaborate directly with service providers alongside employees when appropriate.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, clients, employers, and stakeholders to advance poverty prevention, economic opportunity, and overall community health. Actively participate in community events and collaborates with partners to develop responsive and culturally informed programming.
  • Provide day -to-day leadership, supervision, and support to program staff and volunteers, including coaching and performance oversight. Assume full supervisory responsibility for assigned staff and serve as a backup supervisor to the other FEOC programs as directed by the Program Director.
  • Oversees data collection and program documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. Prepare and submit all required program and funder reports in a timely manner and provides regular status updates to the Program Director on program performance and outcomes.
  • Supports program sustainability efforts by compiling data, contributing to funding development activities, and assisting with grant related and funding initiatives as directed by the Program Director, and identifies opportunities to strengthen program reach, impact, and long-term viability.
