About The Position

The Medical Assistant in this role will be responsible for supporting clinical staff in delivering high-quality wound care to patients. This includes cleaning and dressing wounds along with monitoring for signs of infection. They will also document care provided, assist provider in educating patients on wound care practices, and ensure all safety and infection control protocols are strictly followed. We're looking for someone who demonstrates strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a compassionate approach to patient care. The Medical Assistant administers and performs triage and direct care to assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the RN/Nurse Manager. This includes functions such as height/weight and vital signs, updating medical records, as well as assisting the clinicians with exams as requested. Also ensures a smooth flow of patients through the office by providing efficient basic care to patients. The Medical Assistant performs routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the office running smoothly. The Medical Assistant also performs secretarial support for the office, assist the front desk operations in performing general clerical tasks, such as checking patients in and out, filing, copying, answering the phone, and related duties as requested by the Practice Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
  • General Experience Relevant Experience Required
  • Basic Life Support Required
  • Cert Clin Medical Assistant Required or
  • Certified Medical Assistant Required or
  • Registered Medical Assistant Required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
