Wound Care Nurse Practitioner
About The Position
Perform initial and follow-up patient visits as appropriate. Round on identified residents needing wound care consultation Consult appropriate physicians in cases where additional input may be needed to determine diagnosis and/or treatment of a patient. Order and interpret labs, x-rays, or other diagnostic testing as appropriate for patients. Prescribe clinically appropriate medication for patients (subject to having your Certificate to Prescribe, DEA number, or CTP-E). Requirements
- Must have an active Registered Nurse license
- Be a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP)
- Either have a valid Prescriptive Authority or be eligible for the Certificate to Prescribe Externship (CTP-E)
Nice To Haves
- Prior wound care management experience
- Wound care certification
