Givens Aldersgate is looking for a full-time Wound Care Nurse (RN) to lead and coordinate all wound management initiatives within the facility. This specialized nursing role is responsible for assessment, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of skin breakdown and wounds across our resident population. It's kind of a long story, but at our core, we're a senior housing organization with a lot of heart and committed to providing housing to seniors of all socioeconomic backgrounds across WNC for more than 40 years. We already have four communities (two life plan communities and two affordable communities) with plans for many more in the coming years.
Requirements
- NC RN License
Nice To Haves
- Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, or equivalent) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound and skin assessments for residents with existing or potential skin integrity concerns.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound care treatment plans in collaboration with the care team and physician.
- Round weekly with the facility’s wound care physician to review complex wounds, progress, and treatment plans.
- Monitor wound healing progress, adjust care plans as appropriate, and ensure timely physician communication regarding changes in condition.
- Provide direct wound care treatments.
