The Weyerhaeuser Wood Products Finance Team is dynamic and well-respected. You will be a key contributor that partners with leaders across Weyerhaeuser Wood Products in sales, operations, supply chain, finance, and accounting, using problem solving, financial, and analytical skills to deliver critical business results. Your impact as a Wood Products, Segment Finance Director. You are a trusted, strategic partner to the VP, Wood Products Finance as well as the broader Wood Products organization. You have the drive to make a difference, provide value, and have great judgement. You act with urgency, set financial direction and influence strategic and operational decisions. You are accountable, courageous, and innovative. While you can understand complex topics, you can keep it simple and articulate what really matters to a broad group of individuals. You have a strong attention to detail but can also see the bigger picture. In this role, your essential functions will be to: Lead segment level annual planning, long range planning, and forecast processes, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and market realities. Partner with our product line finance leaders to provide clear financial framing and scenario analysis for key business decisions, including market volatility, cost actions, capital investments, and structural changes. Champion operational excellence culture, including tracking and reporting on significant Wood Products wins. Ensure strong financial governance, internal controls, and adherence to GAAP, cost accounting standards, and company policies, including the monitoring of internal control compliance. Collaborate, lead and drive decisions across Wood Products finance, accounting, operations and sales teams. Fully own the financial, planning and analysis function for our sales and central Wood Products organizations. Active leadership and oversight in process/system improvements. This includes improvements in current planning tools, functionality improvements and helping us envision and execute on the future of our financial reporting. Other ad hoc projects and reporting in support of the Wood Products Finance team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, or a related field (MBA, CFA or CPA preferred)
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles within manufacturing, industrial, or commodity based businesses
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with senior and executive leadership on strategic and operational decisions.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, financial systems (SAP experience strongly preferred), and internal controls.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, influence without authority, and drive results in a complex, matrixed organization.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complexity into clear executive messaging.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Power BI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in wood products, forest products, manufacturing, or other capital intensive industries.
  • Experience supporting large, multi site operations and navigating commodity market volatility.
  • Prior responsibility for segment or business unit level planning and performance management.
  • Experience with Power Automate, Power Query and RPA is a plus.
