About The Position

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a C-arm/Radiologic Technologist to join our team. We are challenging the status quo by shining light on radiology and making it a critical first step in diagnosis and proper treatment. Come join us and shine brighter together! As a C-arm/Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating assigned equipment to produce images of the patient's body for diagnostic purposes. This position is part time (less than 20), working 16 hours per week, Mondays and Fridays from 8:00am to 4:00pm.

Requirements

  • High School diploma, or equivalent
  • ARRT registered technologist; must be current and in good standing
  • Graduate of the American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of radiography
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist, if required by the state(s) you work in (as applicable)
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; must be current and maintained
  • Documented training and applicable experience at a level to competently and independently perform C-arm procedures under the supervision of a provider

Responsibilities

  • Screens patient before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to examination, using two patient identifiers to ensure the correct patient and procedure.
  • Explains and prepares patients for imaging procedures that will be performed; clearly explaining the procedure and positioning patients so that the correct parts of their body can be appropriately imaged.
  • Performs routine and advanced c-arm imaging procedures on designated portions of the body for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury, with minimal amount of supervision, while providing continuous patient support.
  • Produces diagnostic images in assigned/designated area.
  • Adjusts x-ray and c-arm parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate.
  • Maintains a sterile environment during procedures requiring
  • Follows physicians’ orders precisely, conforms to safety regulations and accurately maintains records within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
  • Maintains an orderly and clean work area, including equipment, promoting good safety habits for patients and team members.
  • Maintains ACR toolkit and accreditation requirements.
  • Performs quality control tasks as assigned.
  • Participates in team meetings with team member involvement
  • Assists in updating & maintaining all radiographic & C-arm protocols.
  • Answers department phone calls
  • Performs other duties as assigned
