About The Position

SPORTSMED ORTHOPEDIC IS SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED X-RAY TECH TO JOIN OUR MADISON, AL CLINIC. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WOULD HAVE AT LEAST 2 YEARS OF CLINICAL X-RAY EXPERIENCE.

X-RAY TECH
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:                                                                  

Operate and maintain x-ray machines
Determine individual technique for ordered examination and position patient
properly
Perform procedure by verbally confirming with the patient before beginning a
procedure
Properly shield patients for all examinations
Produce quality x-rays with correct Patient ID and markings
Escort patients from lobby to treatment rooms, x-ray waiting, brace shop,
etc.
Assists providers’ healthcare team in clinic as needed
Maintains wheelchairs, including proper maintenance and sanitization

department supervisor.

Requirements

• Ability to project a professional image at all times
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Detail oriented with above average organizational skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current/active radiology tech license required
• Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations
• Thorough knowledge of orthopedic terminology and anatomy
• Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, and stooping
• Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds or greater
• Exposure to radiation which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and monitored by radiation badges
