Responsibilities The Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Assistant is responsible for performing patient care duties under the Radiology & Medical Assistant scope of practice in the urgent care setting as follows: How you will make an impact The Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) / Medical Assistant supports the organization with customer service and treating all of our patients with respect and dignity. They provide patient care services in the back office urgent care setting, which will meet the specific needs of the patient. Essential Education, Experience and Skills: ARIZONA Education: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; AND 1. Completed an APPROVED (accredited) Medical Assistant training program. OR 2. Completed an UNAPPROVED (non-accredited) Medical Assistant training program AND a National Certification through one of the following: American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) - administers the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) exam and certification; or American Medical Technologists (AMT) -- provides the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam and certification to individuals who have completed the AMT criteria; or National Healthcareer Association (NHA)-administers the Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) exam and certification License: Certified Radiology Technician (RT) or Practical Technologist in Radiology (PTR) Certification: Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety
