The role involves planning, developing, and coordinating in-house product training programs for field support personnel and customers. The individual will obtain information needed to prepare training programs, prepare training materials, develop course content, determine methodology, and coordinate the development of training aids. The position also includes conducting training sessions and developing criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Continuous revision of lesson plans to meet new training requirements and to keep technical information up to date is also a key responsibility.

  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of exempt experience; or Master's degree and 1 year of exempt experience.
  • NNS Apprentice School graduate may be used as equivalent to a bachelor's degree.
  • High school diploma and 5 years of combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades, military experience, or other relevant non-exempt experience may be considered.
  • Graduation from Navy Nuclear Power School may also be considered.
  • 3 years of relevant manufacturing, shipbuilding, trade, and/or military experience may be used as equivalent to the number of exempt years of experience required.
  • Proficiency in structural and/or pipe welding processes (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW-S, GMAW-P, GTAW).
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
