About The Position

What we are looking for: Aldridge is seeking Yard Helper to join our dynamic and energetic team. This role is responsible for performing operational duties related to receiving, storing, and delivering material. Responsibilities include inspecting and maintaining equipment, loading, unloading, and hauling heavy equipment. What we offer: The hourly pay for this role is between $18.00 - $21.00. The actual pay is dependent upon many factors, including: location, work experience, education, training, transferable skills, business needs, and market conditions. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This is a union position and provides union benefits. This job-specific task list covers only the most important job duties. Employees assigned to this position title will also perform other occasional work assignments not mentioned above, including temporary assignments, training assignments, and other related duties. Responsibilities

Maintain safe job site.
Loads, unloads, and transports heavy trucks, equipment, and material.
Material shipping and receiving procedures.
Maintain equipment and report equipment abuse or component tampering.
Follows driver/yard procedures and responsibilities.
Performs cleanup at end of day or when job is completed, including cleaning tools, putting tools in proper storage areas, and sweeping floors.
Advise supervisor immediately if additional work is needed.
Interact effectively, courteously, and professionally with customers, vendors, and other employees.
Be involved in the daily operation of the warehouse and be able to fill in during the absence of the supervisor.
