This position will primarily function as a High Reach lift driver located inside of the warehouse. When needed, responsibility will shift to cover Yard-Jockey responsibilities. Approximately 90% of work will be as a High Reach driver. Approximately 10% as a Yard Jockey. Job descriptions for both positions are listed below. Shift: Monday-Friday 6:00am-3:30pm (Friday total scheduled hours vary) Pay rate: $20.50 per hour Climate controlled facility The position of Yard Jockey is a multi-dimensional position necessary for our growing nationwide chain of retail stores. The role will be supporting the multiple departments of our Ship Center. We are looking for a flexible individual that is willing to step into roles for the needs of the department. This position focuses on yard management and execution. The individual will work with transportation, shipping, and receiving departments.

Requirements

Satisfactory Driving Record and ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Detail oriented and accurate
Good communication skills and attention to detail
May at times require some overtime including weekend work (Mainly during Peak Season)
Ability to lift up to 50-pound boxes
Ability to stand, stoop, lift and perform manual dexterity
Ability to work on exposed temperatures, cold in the winter and hot in the summer
Fork truck/reach truck /rider walkie experience

Responsibilities

Maintain flow of yard moves
Conducts pre-trip inspection of equipment and communicates any findings to be addressed to transportation team.
Keeps work area clean, clean as you go, if cutting seals of trailers discarding properly
Facilitate yard checks (Daily) to provide current inventory of trailers on yard.
Ability to stay on top of a changing priorities
Occasionally assisting on dock with inbound and outbound freight
Maintaining Trailer yard integrity and accuracy
Responsible for securing and sealing Trailers as necessary
Maintain a safe and professional work environment
Must be able to work independently and with minimal supervision
Display good communication skills and ability to work well with others
All other duties as assigned
Support the shipping department and receiving departments as needed
Load and unload shipments safely and move product to assigned locations or containers.
Efficiently stack and store the merchandise in the appropriate areas.
Execute put away tasks via RF gun
Execute replenishments tasks via RF gun
Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
Report quality variances.
Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, put-away, replenishments and load functions, as required
Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
On a daily basis, inspect the forklift or other equipment.
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods
Communicate and interact with manager to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, use of calculator helpful
Ability to maintain proper staging, label placement etc…
