About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Jockey to join our transportation team in Rome, GA . You will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of materials between company facilities and designated delivery points. This role requires a dependable professional with a strong commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Clean driving record and current DOT medical card.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles safely and in compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Load and unload materials as needed, ensuring product accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, delivery paperwork, and other documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and supervisors.
• Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
