Day Shift Yard Loader Operator
About The Position
Heidelberg Materials is one of the world's largest suppliers of building materials. Heidelberg Materials North America operates over 450 locations across the U.S. and Canada with approximately 9,000 employees. Safely operate loader equipment to transport materials within the quarry and shipping areas. Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment. Coordinate with shipping teams to manage material inventory and shipments. Assist in loading and unloading materials onto shipping vehicles. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving capabilities under pressure.
- Adaptability to changing work environments and conditions.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
- Frequent standing, walking, and sitting.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent use of hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Adequate stamina to work long hours as needed.
