About The Position

Enjoy the benefit of a 10 hour work shift!! 1st shift hours: Monday through Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm. Overtime on Friday's when needed. We pay double time after 45 hours worked per week!! Bonus of $1,000 after 90 days employment if you have no absences or tardies!!! POSITION REPORTS TO: Shipping/Receiving/Yard Coordinator SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES: None STATUS: Full-time; FLSA Non-Exempt POSITION OBJECTIVE: DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assures all duties under shipping are completed properly and in a timely manner and resolves issues that arise Ensure all outbound shipments are loaded properly for safe transportation. Ensure yard equipment (cranes, forklifts) are inspected as required and in safe working order. Use cranes and forklifts for moving barges. Assure employees and outside visitors are following all safety procedures in the yard Responsible to follow the layout and organization of the equipment in the yard Take pictures of all incoming/outgoing equipment. Assure proper logs are kept for equipment in the yard. Powerwashing barges EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Heavy Equipment background; proficient in forlklifts PHYSICAL FACTORS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a periodic basis. Must have proficiency with the operation of forklifts. Overhead crane proficiency preferred Work outside in all temperatures/seasons Must be able to stand, reach, walk, bend, and climb ladders on a periodic basis.
