Yard Operations Coordinator Location: Olive Branch, MS, USA - 8313 Polk Lane There are 4 positions available Schedules as follows: 1 position: Monday - Friday, 7am - 3:45 pm 1 position: Friday, 9am-7:45 pm; Saturday, 4am - 12:45 pm; Sunday, 9:15 am - 7:30 pm; Monday, 9am - 7:45 pm 1 position: Sunday, 9pm until 5:45am and Monday- Thursday, 3:00pm-11:45pm 1 position: Monday - Friday, 10:00pm until 6:45am Note - Shifts subject to change based on the needs of the business. OT may be required and is mandatory if required. Requirements

  • Typically requires 1+ years of related experience
  • 1 year of experience in transportation, logistics, or yard operations.
  • Internal employees must have at least 6 months of McKesson experience in a distribution position
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication with outstanding customer service skills
  • MS Office - basic to intermediate
  • Must be a positive change team member that demonstrates passion and commitment to the success of the team and individuals
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Good critical thinking skills with the ability to see the “big picture” and be proactive
  • Enhanced organization and prioritization in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • 6+ months of experience utilizing Power Industrial Equipment (Dock Stocker, Pallet Jack). Location is willing to train those with no experience - must be able to obtain/maintain certifications.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems such as Accumax, WMS, TMS with the ability to learn other programs
  • Exposure to Reefer Trailer operations
  • Understanding of GDP and cold-chain requirements
  • Experience in pharmaceutical distribution
  • Prior coordinator or lead role
  • Knowledge of continuous monitoring systems
  • Other tasks may be assigned to improve and maintain the proper support of the DC

Responsibilities

  • Temperature Control & Compliance Coordinate and verify continuous temperature compliance for refrigerated and ambient pharmaceutical trailers. Confirm proper temperature set points, reefer operation, fuel levels, alarms, and monitoring devices. Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc temperature checks per GDP SOPs. Escalate temperature excursions, alarms, or equipment issues. Ensure trailers are staged per GDP requirements.
  • Yard Coordination & Trailer Flow Manage yard moves, dock door assignments, trailer staging, and flow. Maintain accurate real-time yard inventory. Prioritize temperature-sensitive shipments. Communicate with dispatch, warehouse, and carriers.
  • Quality, Documentation & Regulatory Support Ensure compliance with GDP, GMP, FDA, and internal quality standards. Maintain accurate documentation. Support deviation investigations and CAPA activities. Provide documentation for audits. Verify trailer cleanliness and seal integrity.
  • Safety, Security & Asset Protection Enforce yard safety protocols and traffic rules. Monitor trailer security and seals. Report hazards and incidents. Ensure compliance with safety policies.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration Act as a central coordination point across teams. Direct yard drivers and spotters. Escalate operational risks. Support continuous improvement efforts.
