About The Position

Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time Yard Operator to support our customers, service, and sales personnel. We are looking for a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic and excellent organizational, customer service, and communication skills to help support our growth.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 3+ years experience required in shop or operating equipment or related duties
• Personal Characteristics: attention to detail, dependable, self-starter, customer-focused, efficient, and team player
• Ability to operate machinery and perform job duties safely
• This role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirement
• Minimum Physical Requirements: Push/pull up to 50 lbs Lift/carry up to 60 lbs Lift bulky objects Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping – able to use bolt box.
• Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.

Responsibilities

• Ship, receive, and operate equipment in the yard
• Promptly greet and assist customers in the yard
• Ensure proper documentation of incoming/outgoing equipment
• Maintain a clean and orderly yard
• Assist with shop and facility clean up and maintenance
• Maintain grounds including snow removal
• Monitor and maintain fuel and fluid levels for shops and on branch machinery
• Park equipment in designated areas, according to appearance and guidelines
• Work collaboratively on a team
• Provide assistance to other departments as requested
• Complete responsibilities safely
