About The Position
This position is responsible for operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Requirements
- 12 Months continuous work history with a same employer in the past 18 months Listed on the application or resume.
- MVR requirements
- Must have a current valid state issued driver’s license no DUI/DWI conviction within the past 12 months
- Must be able to drive 18 Wheelers on the yard.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Proficiency in reading and writing.
- Ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and effectively communicate across all management levels
- The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Responsibilities
- Operating trucks and moving trailers in and out of loading areas
- Maintaining a safe work environment
- Adhering to Tyson policies and procedures
- Use all safety devices such as dock locks/wheel chocks/jack stands and salvo locks
- Ensure trailers are sealed
- Do routine temperature checks of trailers
- Follow all safety rules
- Work well with others
