ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Perform and document daily equipment inspections. Safely load/unload trucks, verify and complete all paperwork to ensure 100% load accuracy. Ability to flex between CDL and Forklift operator Reconfigure loads as needed to ensure safe transport. Communicate multi-drops or special load requirements to drivers. Report damaged product promptly and tag for regrind or QA review. Identify and re-band bales as needed to ensure safety and prevent product damage Promptly advise Customer Account Representatives or the Traffic Manager on any potential QA issues or delays with shipments. Follow safe loading procedures and advise drivers on safety and strapping policies. Perform snow removal for yards, parking and sidewalk areas. Maintain yard cleanliness and pipe organization. Maintain excellent customer service and driver relations. Operate forklifts safely and handle products responsibly to prevent injuries. Identify and suggest operational improvements to the supervisor. Extended hours or mandatory overtime may be required during peak business periods or for snow removal. Yard personnel holding the ND Environmental Class A/B certification may certify other Yard personnel to Class C status. Perform other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma. Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent, relevant driving experience.
