YMCA Child Watch Caregivers
About The Position
CHANGE LIVES. INCLUDING YOURS. As a Child Watch Caregiver, you will provide care for infants to 10 year olds in a drop-in childcare environment. This job is located at the Main YMCA at 1608 North Washington Street in Bismarck. Callie Iglehart, YDC Teaching Assistant said, "I love my job because I feel I have a big impact on the children. In this role, you can look forward to: Being a role model Assuring that children receive safe playtime, snacks, learning activities, diaper changing, and bathroom breaks Using appropriate disciplinary methods Observing children and communicating appropriately with parents Helping maintain a clean, safe environment by assuring that cleaning duties are completed Attending and be an active participant at staff meetings Part Time: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-12:30 pm
Requirements
- We are looking for someone who displays the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.
- Must have the ability to handle competing demands and effectively communicate with parents regarding the child's activities, behavior, eating, etc.
- CPR & First Aid Certification and Child Abuse prevention training courses must be completed within 90 days of hire and are provided by the YMCA.
- This job is open to candidates ages 14 and older.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working in a childcare setting preferred, but not required.
