About The Position

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for Part-time Youth Development Staff positions. The individual in this role will assist in planning and carrying out a curriculum based upon the needs and interests of children 5-12 years of age, at the Jordan location. This role is an opportunity to directly impact the lives of children and families by fostering genuine connections, practicing exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 1:30 pm - 6:00 pm Purpose & Impact: Be a Mentor: Guide children (ages 5-12) through curriculum-aligned activities (STEM, arts, homework). Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 18+ years old.
  • Experience: 6 months experience working with children preferred in an after-school, camp, or daycare setting.
  • Education Requirements: 48 college units or passing proficiency exam prior to hire for (non-licensed/ASES programs).

  • Once a conditional offer is made, candidates will be subject to criminal background check, drug screen, and will be asked to provide criminal history.
