About The Position

The Youth Ministry Coordinator is responsible for leading, discipling, and spiritually guiding the church’s youth, developing a dynamic ministry that fosters spiritual growth, fellowship, and Christian service. The Youth Ministry Coordinator will work in collaboration with the pastoral leadership and maintain consistent communication with parents.

Requirements

Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish
Strong ministerial calling and Christ-centered testimony.
In alignment with Shadow Mountain Community Church's Statement of Faith
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Experience in youth leadership (preferred).
Ability to lead worship (play guitar or piano desired)

Responsibilities

Spiritual Leadership Develop and oversee the youth ministry.
Serve as a spiritual mentor and role model for young people.
Identify and develop youth leaders.
Teaching Prepare and deliver relevant, Bible-based messages.
Develop age-appropriate Bible studies.
Encourage ongoing discipleship and spiritual growth.
Youth Support and Discipleship Walk alongside youth in their spiritual growth through biblical guidance and encouragement.
Foster a supportive environment for discussing challenges and faith-related questions.
Maintain appropriate ethical standards and follow organizational guidelines for confidentiality.
Planning and Organization Plan activities or special events for the benefit of the youth.
Promote activities that strengthen fellowship and service.
Manage the youth ministry calendar and logistics Partner with Shadow Youth Leadership on sermon series and large events.
Parent Communication Maintain consistent communication with parents.
Inform families about activities, needs, and spiritual progress.
Partner with families to support the holistic development of each young person.
