At Bauer we encourage diversity and promote equality. Position Summary: The Youth Services Supervisor plans, hires, supervises, and evaluates all staff, programs, and activities of Youth Services. The Youth Services Supervisor is responsible for the data and the outcome reporting for all youth programs. The Youth Services Supervisor provides professional development training for staff. The Youth Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring program model fidelity, including compliance with the Indiana Afterschool Standards. Requirements

  • To perform this position successfully, an individual must demonstrate regular, predictable attendance and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge and skill required.
  • The individual must be able to successfully pass routine background checks.
  • Bachelor's degree in sociology, human services, education, human services, or other related field.
  • Ability to obtain Child and Youth Care Worker credential with 1 year of date of hire
  • Must have a valid Indiana driver's license and the ability to meet the minimum insurance requirements of the carrier at all times.
  • 2-3 years previous related experience
  • Ability to coach, educate, and mentor others
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Organization and time management
  • Strong connection with the community

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years previous supervisory experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise Youth Development staff and volunteers
  • Creates staff schedules, monthly newsletters, memos, and purchase orders.
  • Perform interviews, administers performance reviews, and provides performance coaching and feedback
  • Assist staff with direct client work in the Youth Development Program
  • Actively recruit youth
  • Conduct staff development training, provide individual supervision, and facilitate group meetings
  • Creates training manuals for staff
  • Develop, nurture, and maintain relationships with community partners
  • Develop partnerships with parents
  • Compile internal and external reports
  • Assist in managing the administrative responsibilities of youth programs, including reviewing administrative documentation to ensure compliance
  • Maintain compliance with the Indiana Afterschool Standards
