Youth Sports Instructor / Court Monitor

About The Position

Under the supervision of the Program Director, the Youth Sports Instructor will provide friendly, professional, courteous, and prompt membership service to all members, clients, and volunteers of the Y. The Program Assistant will ensure a safe, clean well-maintained and friendly environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 16 years old
Knowledgeable about sports
Ability to work with people of all ages.
Knowledge of various sports and game

Responsibilities

Instruction of assigned classes, teaching proper techniques and form of appropriate skills
To have good sports skills and experience of the class, gym and outdoor areas
To keep accurate attendance records and class records
To evaluate students ability level(s)
To explain progress and procedures to parents
To prepare gym/outdoor areas with necessary equipment/supplies
To maintain order and safety in class
Instruction of proper use of youth exercise equipment
To clean area after class, reporting any damaged or broken equipment to supervisor immediately
