About The Position

We are seeking a creative and technically skilled 3D Modeler/Animator Intern to support our animation and game development projects. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience creating 3D assets and animations for interactive entertainment and gaming applications.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Animation, Game Design, 3D Art, or related field with a graduation date between December 2026 and May 2028
3.3 GPA
Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Maya or Blender)
Experience with character rigging and animation techniques
Understanding of topology, edge flow, and poly count optimization
Knowledge of game development pipelines and asset requirements
Strong artistic eye for form, proportion, and movement
Ability to work within technical constraints and meet deadlines
Portfolio demonstrating 3D modeling and/or animation work
US Citizen or US Permnanent Resident

Nice To Haves

Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine
Knowledge of texturing software (Substance Painter, Photoshop)
Familiarity with motion capture cleanup and implementation
Understanding of PBR (Physically Based Rendering) workflows
Experience with procedural animation or animation state machines

Responsibilities

Create 3D models for characters, props, environments, and other game assets
Design and implement character animations including locomotion, combat, and interactive sequences
Optimize 3D models and animations for real-time performance in game environments
Collaborate with developers and designers to ensure assets meet technical and artistic requirements
Implement animations in Unity or other game engines
Iterate on assets based on feedback from the development team
Assist in texturing and UV mapping for 3D models
